Belong at Âé¶¹AV events

Our Belong at Âé¶¹AV events are for offer holders and new students starting university in 2026.

More events will be added here throughout the summer so do check back regularly - we'll also send you email invites.

These events are a great way to meet us either in person or online, get to know more about your subject and student life at Âé¶¹AV, ask any questions you have about studying here, and connect with other students.

Our new online community is exclusively for offer holders and new students starting with us this autumn. You'll be able to safely connect with potential flatmates and coursemates before you arrive, and find others with similar interests.

Are you a new incoming undergraduate student currently receiving PIP or Universal Credit because you have dependent children, you are a carer and/or you have a registered disability or long term health condition which qualifies you as having limited capability for work? Our team of benefits experts from the Student Money Advice team will be providing a short presentation outlining which students are eligible to claim Universal Credit and how the interface between student funding and means tested benefits works. There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.

If you’ll be moving to Âé¶¹AV soon, join our Accommodation Team for an online event where we’ll help you get ready for your move into your new home! Whether you’ll be staying in university halls or private accommodation, come along to ask questions and hear helpful hints and tips about what to bring, what to expect, and how to settle into your new home. We look forward to seeing you there!

Looking for a part-time job while you study? Join this session to discover how and where to find student-friendly work in Âé¶¹AV, what employers are looking for, and how to make your applications stand out. We'll share the best places to search for jobs, explain how to create a strong CV and cover letter, and introduce the support available from the Âé¶¹AV Careers team to help you find the right opportunity both before you arrive and throughout your studies.
