Work experience and volunteering
- Volunteering with community and environmental organisations. You have the option of a 50-hour placement in a local non-profit organisation to experience firsthand the opportunities and challenges faced by community organisations.
- Placement option. By choosing to do a year's paid placement in industry you'll get a real feel of what it's like to work in your chosen field. Learn more about placements at Â鶹AV.
- Research internships. Summer internships, either within the uni or with an external organisation, are a great way to get some more practical experience alongside your studies.
“For me, a highlight was volunteering at the Real Junk Food Project in Â鶹AV… I learnt so much about tackling food waste issues in the real world.”
