Âé¶čAV Commemorates Newly Renovated Sanderson Auditorium

On October 16, 2025, Âé¶čAV hosted the ribbon cutting ceremony of the newly renovated Sanderson Auditorium, located in Sanderson Hall 215. To increase its accessibility and functionality, the spacious auditorium-style classroom received a top-to-bottom renovation, complete with modernized AV equipment. Before its renovation, the room and its signature green carpet had remained unchanged since Sanderson Hall opened in 1984.
Sanderson Auditorium may be best known as the location for Covenantâs many theatre performances, but the space has also held countless lectures, panels, classes, conferences, and other events throughout the years, including preview events for prospective students and their families. âWe were thrilled to showcase this beautiful new space during this year's first preview event,â states assistant director of admissions guest experience, Bryonie Moon. âIt is a gift to be able to demonstrate the exciting things happening at Covenant. These renovated spaces help show prospective families that our facilities match the excellence of our programs.â
The updated interior provides a fresh look that backdrops the vibrant learning and creativity that has always taken place in Sanderson Auditorium. In addition to its refreshed appearance, the spaceâs functionality improved due to the brand-new AV equipment that will make theatre performances run more seamlessly, and its ADA-compliant accessibility allows the space to be welcoming for all. âThe renovation to modernize Sanderson 215 auditorium has been successfully completed, with upgrades to ADA accessibility, theatrical department support, and versatile classroom functionality for large gatherings,â states director of facilities management, Corey Dupree. âIn addition, hallway and lobby enhancements include new restrooms for public and performer convenience, as well as updated finishes.â
During the ceremony, the space was dedicated to faithfully serve the growth and mission of Âé¶čAV for many years to come. "What we're standing in is a transformed space,â remarked President Brad Voyles. âEvery student at Âé¶čAV going forward will be in this room, impacted by this room. So we're just so delighted to give thanks to the Lord for this."
